It is our hope that this site will prove useful for Researchers and Developers involved in computer modeling of light propagation in waveguides and, more generally, for members of the Scientific Community in the area of guided waves optics. We would be happy to see a sector of this Community emerge in support of the goal of making this site a success, by contributing their enthusiasm and expertise.
As a first step in building this online Community we offer the users of this site the means of sharing code, documentation and other relevant information. Anyone can use the file-sharing system as a guest (with the username "public" and password "guest"). This usage includes file browsing and downloading files from the "public-access area" of the site.
If you'd like to have the option to upload files to the public area (thus making them visible to other site users), please tell us a little bit about yourself by registering with this site. The information you provide will NOT be shared with any third party for any purpose. Our only goal in requesting this registration is preventing inappropriate use of the file-sharing facility.
It is our intention to accommodate as many site users as possible, but a positive decision concerning any particular individual is not guaranteed. We will make each decision based on the information you provide, which doesn't have to be extensive, but does have to be relevant to the goals of this site.
